Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Secures Data With Backup Vault From Ace Data

Delhi & Gurgaon-based Ace Data Devices Pvt. Ltd (Ace Data) has entered into an agreement with Indraprastha Medical Corporation Limited (Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals) for providing Backup Vault solution for server host applications and database backup.

Backup Vault from Ace Data is a cloud-based backup and recovery solution for Indian businesses.

According to the business agreement, Ace Data will be providing Apollo Hospitals with backup services & solutions for MS SQL, MS Exchange, Oracle and other critical data. With the new service, the requirement of manual intervention while taking the backup of data will cease to exist.

"Initially we started with the SQL database backup project with the Apollo Hospitals. Based on the experience and the visible benefits of our solution, the scope of the agreement has already been scaled up to include MS Exchange 2010 data base spread over multiple information stores," said Neeraj Mediratta, CEO, Ace Data.

The SQL database of the Apollo Hospitals has critical patient and pharmacy data which now gets automatically gets backed up every six hours.

With every organisation investing into securing and backing crucial data, Backup Vault is a solution which complements the profile of IT department by way of meeting the challenges of managing agents, backup schedules and multimedia operations. It is expected to provide benefits such has architecture for backing up desktops, laptops and servers including online backup of databases, de-duplication of data travelling on cloud, AES 256 bit encryption compliant with SOX, HIPPA, Basel II and FIS standards, automatic archiving of older backups on low cost disks and deletion of older backup with destruction certificates and local data backup and faster recoveries.

With the introduction of Backup Vault last year, Ace Data become one of the first organizations in the country to address the Indian market for such a product. Since then the company  has added couple of clients for Backup Vault.
