Free Downloadable Version of MPStackware

To coincide with the release of the of it’s storage management software, MPStackware V2.11, MPSTOR Ltd announced that a free license of the software can be downloaded from its website.

The free USB bootable version available for integrators, resellers and distributors is not restricted in functionality or usage time.

"MPStackware is an open-platform software product, which turns low cost, commodity disk arrays into fully featured, high value, data storage systems," said William Oppermann, MPSTOR’s founder and CTO. "It is a full featured, scalable and cost effective file and block storage solution, suitable for use in challenging multi-user environments such as cloud computing."

Designed for a range of storage use cases, MPStackware supports both block and file protocols including iSCSI, SAS, FC, IB and CIFS. MPStackware has an object-oriented, Linux-based, software architecture. It can be used with MPSTOR’s cloud products to provide a private or public IaaS solution.
