IBM Corp.‘s Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z V5.1 delivers:

• Support for DS8000 V6.3 Extent Space Efficient volume for all remote copy services relationships
• Co-existance support with external failover applications
• Support for IBM WebSphere Application Server V7 and V8 on z/OS in both 31-bit and 64-bit addressing modes
• Addition of warning and severe thresholds for Recovery Point Objective alerts and export of Recovery Point Objective statistics for historical analysis
• Ability to start a Global Mirror session in Global Copy mode
• Support for new HyperSwap functions

Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z V5.1 products offer the same capabilities and support that are provided by the Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication distributed product version, but for the System z environment.

It consist of:

• Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication Basic Edition for System z
• Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z

These products can help to manage hundreds of replication sessions across thousands of volumes for both open and System z attached volumes. It can manage point-in-time, continuous volume replication services, monitor sessions, and report on the volumes not in synchronization with the source site. It also add data protection capabilities with proactive management of copy services operations.

Tivoli Storage Productivity Center for Replication for System z V5.1 products support all combinations of copy services available on IBM enterprise storage devices, such as FlashCopy and Metro Global Mirror, including HyperSwap.

New in V5.1 is support for DS8000 V6.3 Extent Space Efficient volume, support for IBM WebSphere Application Server V7 and V8, and better integration with external failover applications.
