… Fusion-io …
For ioDrive2 IO accelerators
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 4, 2012 at 2:57 pmFusion-io, Inc. has been be invited by HP to be a founding member of HP’s ProActive Insight Architecture (PIA) Alliance.
HP announced that its PIA Alliance would focus on maximizing the built-in intelligence of HP ProLiant Gen8 servers.
Using products like HP IO Accelerators based on Fusion’s ioMemory technology, the HP PIA Alliance members help HP customers unlock new possibilities with more powerful applications by providing integrated, performance HP ProLiant Gen8 server solutions. The new servers also provide sustainable solutions that eliminate manual maintenance tasks, further improving system optimization and productivity.
The ioMemory-based HP ioDrive2 IO Accelerators are able to scale with the capabilities of the new Intel Xeon E5 CPUs found in the new HP ProLiant Gen8 servers. By deploying one or more IO Accelerators within HP ProLiant Gen8 servers, HP customers can overcome latency and data bottlenecks with solutions that accelerate application performance by maximizing CPU processing power.
With the last generation of IO Accelerators,
customers can obtain better performance:
- with two times faster write access latency, at 15μs;
- up to five times higher read IOPS, at 892,000;
- up to three times higher write IOPS, at 935,000; and
- double the bandwidth at 3GB/s.
