The series is designed for the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) market and engineered for the embedded computing, server, notebook, and tablet categories.

The O-Series is a solution for mission-critical applications such as military, public safety, utility, homeland security, and mining applications as well as mobile workers in outdoor environment field services.

"The mySSD O-Series is designed for high-threat and unpredictable environments in which durability and reliability is absolutely essential," remarked Eric Tafolla, OEM sales engineer at Dane-Elec. "Flash-based SSD drives are steadily replacing outdated and less reliable spinning disk drives; however, one product does not fit every customer’s unique requirements. That is why we offer customized solutions, where our products are built to meet specific customer needs, in addition to our standard O-Series models."

The mySSD O-Series features include:

  • 64GB, 120GB and 240GB capacities
  • SMART enterprise-level data monitoring to head off potential problems before they occur
  • Advanced-wear leveling for drive’s endurance
  • Two embedded encryption engines: AES-128 in CTR mode and AES-256 in XTS mode
  • SMI – SM2244 controllers that provide a performance data transfer rate to and from the flash card, data integrity and reliability, and compatibility performance
  • 1.8" SATA II – 3GB/s
  • Up to 50k IOPS
  • Read speed of up to 285MB/s and a write speed of up to 275MB/s
  • Compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, and XP; Macintosh OS X; and Linux
  • Available in commercial and industrial temperatures

The mySSD O-Series is available. As with all mySSD products, it comes with a five-year warranty.

In addition to the O-Series, the mySSD product line includes the X-Series for pro users and gamers; the E-Series for the enterprise market; and the C-Series for consumers.
