Adam Lee UK Sales Rep, Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions

Previously almost five years at Seagate

Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions Corp. (PLDS) announced the appointment of a sales representative for the UK.
 
Adam Lee joined PLDS in March 2012, having previously worked for almost 5 years at Seagate where his roles included channel sales for Nordics and Netherlands, senior business analyst, and senior pricing analyst.
 
"I joined the PLDS team in March and I am very enthusiastic about the company, our team, the products and the markets we are working within. IT hardware is a fast moving business and the communication is fast – you need to stay sharp and watch the market closely," he said.
 
PLDS represents three individual brands. Lite-On specialises in optical storage devices, offering a portfolio of Blu-ray and DVD drives. Plextor targets the higher segments in the market with warranty and service conditions and a portfolio of storage solutions including SSDs.

Finally, PLDS carries HP licensed optical drives to offer a brand with maximum exposure where it is needed, such as the retail sector.

Lee is keen to support distributors and second tier customers across each brand: "It is my ambition to maximize our strength and penetration of our products which are known as some of the most competitive. At the moment we are working closely with important distribution partners such as Ingram Micro, CCI and Enta, big e-tailers, such as Scan, Amazon, and eBuyer, and retailers like DSGI, Argos, and Maplin to name a few."
 
The demand for SSDs is seeing growth in the market. Lee, confident in the performance and test results of Plextor SSDs, says: "This is only the start – PLDS wants to grow and become a major influence in the UK. Especially with the support of Plextor SSDs, we can and want to be one of the key players in the market."
