RecoverPoint Protects Entire Storage Portfolio

RecoverPoint from EMC Corp. now supports all EMC block storage with its integration with the VMAX family running Enginuity 5876, and VPLEX (Local and Metro) running the VPLEX operating environment, Geosynchrony.

RecoverPoint makes it easier to protect applications that grow with a wizard that allows to modify the applications protection configuration to add new storage volumes.

It includes enhancements that simplify the installation and initial configuration and enhancements that improve security and the overall customer experience.

It provides cost-effective, local continuous data protection and continuous local and remote replication of data with any-point-in-time data recovery.

Technology Highlights

• RecoverPoint now provides support for Enginuity 5876, the VMAX operating environment. This supports VMAX 10K, VMAX 20K and VMAX 40K.
• It now provides support for Geosynchrony 5.1, the VPLEX operating environment (supporting VPLEX Local and VPLEX Metro).
• RecoverPoint support Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server 2012 environments, though the Microsoft VSS API.
