HDS: Fiscal 4Q11 Financial Results, for Period Ending March 31, 2012
$4.4 billion in sales for the year, up 15%

Highlights of FY11
- Highest revenues in company history
- Consolidated revenues for FY11 at $4.443 billion U.S. dollars, up 15% from FY10*
- On yen basis, ¥351 billion for FY11, up 9% Y/Y (exchange rate of ¥79.08 per $) from ¥322 billion
- Hitachi Content Platform** grew in the high sixties Y/Y
- Hitachi NAS Platform** grew in the high thirties Y/Y
Highlights of Q4FY11
- Highest revenue for fourth quarter in HDS history*
- Consolidated revenues (HDS + Japan) at $1.135 billion, up 9% Y/Y
- On a yen basis, ¥90 billion in the fourth quarter, up 3% Y/Y (exchange rate of ¥79.28 per $)
From Q4FY10 to Q4FY11
- Americas revenues grew 16%
- EMEA revenues grew 6%
- APAC** revenues grew 3%
- Approximately 55% in hardware, 15% in software and 30% in services (consolidated revenues)
*Based on Hitachi consolidated revenue.

Y/Y Growth
- Total hardware revenues* increased in high single digits
- Enterprise storage increased in high thirties

Strong Y/Y Growth Across File and Content portfolio
