Arrow ECS to Distribute Pivot3 vSTAC VDI

Into EMEA

Pivot3, Inc., provider of
unified storage and compute appliances, announced a distribution agreement with
Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, business segment of Arrow Electronics, Inc.,
to distribute the Pivot3 vSTAC virtual desktop infrastructure products to its
solution provider network in fifteen countries throughout Europe, the Middle
East and Africa
.

The Pivot3 vSTAC VDI appliance family makes VMware View deployments
simple, affordable and channel-consumable for the 100 – to 1000 – desktop
target market. vSTAC VDI appliances unify storage and servers,
eliminating the need for specialized IT expertise to configure and integrate
separate SAN, servers and software into a
VDI solution.

"The addition of Pivot3
products to our portfolio now enables Arrow ECS to offer a complete out-of-box
VMware View VDI solution to countries and regions such as France, Germany, the
U.K. and Nordics,
" said Julien Peronneau, VP of operations and
business transformation for the EMEA region at Arrow ECS. "This year, Arrow ECS was named the VMware
distributor of the year globally as well as in EMEA and the Americas, and this
agreement with Pivot3 extends the support we provide to solution providers
selling VMware solutions or integrating solutions into VMware environments.
"

"Pivot3, provides a
packaged VMware View solution which simplifies and eliminates the complexities
and costs generally associated with deploying a VDI environment,
" said
Mike Holt, director of channels and strategic alliances, EMEA, at Pivot3.
"Together with Arrow ECS’ strong
VMware reseller network, we look forward to providing these new regions with a
compelling VDI proposition that is quick and simple to deploy and also
minimizes a customer’s upfront capital investment needs.
"

In support of this agreement, Pivot3 has a VDI channel-ready program
consisting of elements designed to maximize lead opportunities and
qualifications for Arrow ECS resellers and solution providers in EMEA. There
are online tools for VDI self-configuration and ROI analysis.
Additionally, prospects can ‘test drive’ a live, hosted 300- to 400-desktop
scenario complete with workload simulation, login storms, scale-outs of
desktops and performance reporting. The channel-ready program also is designed
to enhance sell-though with
all VMware and Microsoft license revenues flowing to the resellers. In
addition, deal registration is available to partners.

The vSTAC VDI is available and has already garnered the
interest of several leading enterprises across industries, including
healthcare, education, government and financial services.

Customer pricing
starts at $350 per desktop.
