Neal Ater Industry Advisory Board’s Member, Arkeia

Ater was most recently CEO and president of data protection and archiving software provider Atempo, following the company’s merger with Storactive, where he was president and CEO. Ater’s roots in backup also extend to his position as SVP of Veritas‘ Data Protection Group, where he headed engineering and product management for backup product lines including NetBackup and Backup Exec. He was SVP of engineering at Seagate Software, and his more than 25 years of experience includes executive and advisory roles for a number of network storage and systems vendors, including the board of directors of deduplication specialist Data Domain.
