CX.com Offers Up to 10GB of Additional Free Storage
In Earth Day contest
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 23, 2012 at 2:43 pmCX, Inc., a cloud storage and cloud solutions company, began an Earth Day contest this week on Facebook and Twitter to all current customers with an offer of up to 10GB of free storage.
Facebook users who ‘Like’ CX on Facebook and follow CX on Twitter may enter the contest between now and April 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. PST to have the chance to gain more free storage and enjoy the benefits of secure cloud services.
"We prefer to view everyday as Earth Day at CX, however, in honor of the officially recognized day, we want to do something special," stated Brad Robertson, CEO of CX. "Instead of printing out multiple copies of documents you want to share with people, the CX cloud allows you to upload whatever you want and share online, without having to waste paper or energy from printing. The average pine tree yields around 80,500 sheets of paper. A 10GB CX account can store up to 57,000 pages – meaning you and a friend will save a pine tree if you both have 10GB accounts."
CX currently offers its customers 10GB for free and paid account options of 50GB for $9.99 a month and 100GB for $19.99 a month. It offers free groups, a collaboration and real time notification suite with the potential to add up to one million participants per group. CX does not charge multiple storage fees when files are shared with others.
Rather than a storage tool, CX distinguishes itself through a collaboration element that includes group chat. CX’s offering makes it possible for users to post comments like a social media stream, on top of their files, making it comparable to microblogging in a cloud storage environment.
CX works on computers, iPads, iPhones and Androids and will soon be released for BlackBerry.
The contest is open to new and current CX users only. As an additional token of appreciation, every person who enters from a shared update or Tweet, can obtain an additional entry.
