Safe Infinity Available From F-Secure

F-Secure announced the availability of Safe Infinity, the solution that enables operators to meet consumers’ need for storing important content in digital format, while protecting them from traditional Internet threats and also safeguarding content. Safe Infinity combines F-Secure’s security platform with its cloud-based content backup and restoration solution into one service.

"Consumers are mostly worried about losing content from their computers. Hard drive crashes and other mishaps can be just as real as a virus or malware attack. It therefore makes sense to use a service that safeguards both your computer and your content," said Sebastian Neittamo, solution manager at F-Secure.

Opportunity for operators
In a world where consumers are increasingly storing digital content, the combination of security, content backup and restoration capabilities in a single service offers operators an opportunity to build new revenue streams. In a recent survey completed by F-Secure, nine out of ten subscribers agreed that preventing the loss of personal content is very important, while eight out of ten agreed that personal content is more important than the device that holds it. The survey also indicated that in nine out of ten cases, consumers would like their Internet provider to package the services they need.

Safe Infinity covers all the functionalities available from F-Secure’s Internet security service, such as anti-virus firewall, spam protection and parental control, as well as backup and restore functionality via the cloud. The services can be configured under the operators’ own brand.

Safe Infinity is offered to consumers through selected operator partners, with the first services being prepared for roll out.
