Arkeia Formed Technical Advisory Board
Dr. Waqar Hasan and Dr. Todd McComb initial members

The board is comprised of academic and industry leaders who will provide their insight directly to Arkeia Software’s management team. This move closely follows the formalization of an Industry Advisory Board in January.
Initial members of the Technical Advisory Board include Dr. Waqar Hasan and Dr. Todd McComb.

About Waqar Hasan
Waqar Hasan has more than 20 years experience in the data and Internet categories, delivering leading-edge products delivered as software or operated as a service. He is CEO and founder of InsightsOne, a start-up delivering cloud-based services for big data. During his five-year tenure at Yahoo! as VP of Data Systems, he led and managed the company’s data platform that served all lines of business, including Audience properties, Search, and Brand advertising. Analyzing data from 500 million consumers, these remain among the largest-scale systems in the world, affect nearly all of Yahoo!’s revenue streams, and have substantially increased both monetization and consumer engagement. Hasan founded DB Wizards (acquired by Adeosoft), ran the optimizer team at Informix (now IBM), worked on data research at HP Labs and IBM Almaden, and has consulted for companies such as Microsoft, Visa, Reed-Elsevier and Deloitte.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University and his B.S. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
About Todd McComb
Todd McComb’s academic focus has been on non-linear modeling including non-equilibrium thermodynamics and chemically-reactive fluid dynamics. While most of this work was performed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, McComb worked briefly on world climate models at Los Alamos Laboratory. He was awarded fellowships from the National Science Foundation and Department of Defense, among others. He previously assisted with the preparation of patents for Arkeia Software. Among his interests, McComb works in the fields of music and community leadership, and consults in the areas of mediation and diversity. He edits and operates one of the oldest websites on the Internet, medieval.org, the online home of the Medieval Music & Arts Foundation.
He graduated with a BS in mathematics Summa Cum Laude, and a Ph.D. in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
