Unknown Asian Cloud Provider Selects Mellanox and Supermicro

For end-to-end 40GbE and FDR 56Gb/s IB

Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. and Super Micro Computer, Inc. announced that a major Asian cloud provider selected Supermicro servers and Mellanox’s Virtual Protocol Interconnect (VPI) solution to form one of the world’s largest cloud solutions.

Mellanox’s 40GbE NICs and switches, and switches connect the 5,000-node based cloud, delivering cloud performance, flexibility and simplicity.

"The new cloud cluster will provide computing capacity and storage on-demand, and will set the stage for the next generation cloud infrastructure based on Mellanox Virtual Protocol Interconnect technology," said Marc Sultzbaugh, VP of WW sales at Mellanox Technologies. "The cloud cluster will utilize Mellanox’s 40GbE and FDR 56Gb/s IB adapters and switches, providing an optimal solution to accelerate a large-scale, multi-tenancy environment."
