Dolly Drive Launches App for iPhone, iPad

Through Apple's Time Machine app

From Cirrus Thinking LLC, Dolly Drive, an all-in-one subscription software and online storage services designed for Mac, released a new app allowing subscribers to securely access files they have synced and stored using Dolly Sync and Space on their iPhones and iPads.

The app is free and can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store.

By installing the new, free iDolly app, Dolly Drive subscribers can securely access the files they have synced and stored, as well as make changes to documents and files on their iPhone or iPad. The files are then immediately synced to all of the user’s other devices, including office or home computers.

Founded in January 2011, Dolly Drive provides Mac users with offsite cloud storage directly through Apple’s Time Machine application. The all-in-one-subscription service incorporates backup, file sync and storage capabilities all in one application. In addition, it allows users to create a bootable clone of their Mac on an external hard drive for local disaster recovery.

According to Leigh Kessler, head of marketing, Dolly Drive, "the iDolly app allows users to browse the files in their Dolly Sync and Dolly Space accounts and use built-in viewers or installed apps to read documents. In addition, users can make changes to documents on their iPhones and iPads that are instantly reflected across all devices. Users also can browse photos they have stored and synced to the cloud, as well as protect important data via Dolly Drive’s app sign-in."

"The new iDolly app allows users to access any of their files on their iPhones or iPads from anywhere in the world," said Kessler. "The greatest advantage is that wherever you are, whatever device you are using at that moment, you will always be working on the most up-to-date, current version."

Controlled by a single admin tool, Dolly Drive provides data protection and accessibility for Mac users. Each user can customize they way they use Dolly cloud storage. Whether it’s to help four people in a home environment, or 40+ people in an office setting, it keeps everyone’s data backed up and ready to access, anytime, anywhere.

A DollyDrive account is required to use the iDolly app.
