Philippe Nicolas Director Product Strategy, Scality
He is back in a storage company.

More recently he founded The IT Press Tour that organizes the visit of start-ups in USA, mainly in storage, by European journalists. He is also currently consultant of Condor Consulting Group, (founding) member of SNIA Cloud TWG and Cloud Storage Initiative and Storage Industry Investment Advisor for financial institutions.
He was formerly:
- Founder in 2008 of Kerstor, in cloud file storage software, a start-up that finally never launched any product.
- Technology evangelist and strategist from 2007 to 2009 at Brocade
- At Symantec/Veritas for ten years ending in 2007 as EMEA senior solutions marketing manager
- Engineer at SGI from 1993 to 1997.
- Founder in 2001 and chairman of SNIA France for almost ten years
- Director of the board of SNIA Europe for two years
He is also a blogger on storage in French.
Nicolas is graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d’Informatique, Université Paris Sud (Paris XI).

Being now in a storage company, it will difficult for him to pursue The IT Press Tour and his "independent" blog than began more than six years ago, with more than thousands blog posts and often some scoops on the storage industry
