Sabre Holdings Signs $800 Million Contract With HP

For networking and storage

Headquartered in Southlake, TX, Sabre Holdings, a travel technology company, signed a six-year, $800 million contract with Plano-based HP Enterprise Services, where in HP will implement its networking and storage technology.

A subsidiary of California of Hewlett-Packard Co., HP Enterprise Services, will be responsible to upgrade mainframe computers that are been used by Sabre. Also, the company’s data center network and storage systems will be shifted to HP technology.

For a period of last 11 years, HP has been associated with Sabre and will continue to host certain Sabre systems and will provide technical support for networking, printing and desktop technologies.

Additionally, HP will have to offer many other services in regards with local and wide-area networks of Sabre and its desktop and notebook personal computers, handheld devices, printers and servers.
