Mellanox With IB/Ethernet Solution for Dell

Part of PowerEdge M620 blade server

Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. announced that the new generation of Mellanox interconnect solutions is part of the new Dell PowerEdge M620 blade server.

Customers can order new M620 blade servers equipped with Mellanox FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand switch blades and ConnectX-3 PCIe 3.0 FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand and 10/40GbE mezzanine adapters.

The new PowerEdge blade server and Dell M1000e blade chassis have been designed to take advantage of Mellanox’s FDR 56Gb/s InfiniBand and 40GbE PCIe 3.0-compliant adapters, which can offer up to double the I/O throughput versus older generation technologies.

"Our collaboration with Mellanox helps us to deliver to our customers increased capacity and lower operating costs, along with delivery of the highest bandwidth performance currently available in the market."
