nScaled Offering Automated Access to Free Recovery Accounts

nScaled, Inc., provider of Recovery-as-a-Service (RaaS) solutions, announced additional capabilities for SMBs and the channel in the free Cloud Recovery accounts, creating a way for VMware users to discover new tools for cloud-based disaster recovery, backup and archiving.

nScaled’s Recovery Accounts have an automated set up, providing access to the Recovery Console, a SaaS interface for managing private clouds, in minutes. Users will be able to manage a variety of services in their virtual environments, including the tracking of events and alerts, monitoring, resource configuration and management. Especially for users without deep technical knowledge of virtualization, the Recovery Console can be used to consolidate control over distributed data center environments.

Additionally, for users interested in learning more about RaaS services, the Recovery Console offers additional capabilities for nScaled customers. They have access to the Console, where they are able to manage their virtualized environment and plan for future service improvements in Recovery Point Objectives and Recovery Time Objectives. From the Console, customers are also able to monitor performance of servers, loading snapshots and spinning up virtual servers as needed.

Also announced is nScaled’s new channel partner interface in the nScaled Recovery Console that gives partners the ability to create sub-accounts for the customer environments that they manage. This allows them to have a view of customer activities, usage and events. For VARs interested in providing managed services, but don’t already have a cloud strategy in place, Recovery Console provides a dashboard to monitor activity. Additionally, nScaled has created a resource center accessible to partners within the Recovery Console. In this portal, partners can find dedicated sales tools, training, technical resources as well as co-branded marketing materials to help educate the market.
