Xtarget Software + Thunderbolt = SAN for Mac

globalSAN Xtarget Storage Server from Studio Network Solutions is a software built for Mac that lets connect FireWire and Thunderbolt disks and turn them into iSCSI SAN storage.

What does Xtarget do?
Xtarget is software that enables to transform any Intel Mac into an iSCSI storage server. You connect direct-attach storage devices to your Mac, fire up globalSAN Xtarget, and tell it which devices you want to share over iSCSI.

globalSAN Xtarget is available for download. If you’ve installed globalSAN v.5.1, you already have Xtarget – simply click the Xtarget sub-tab in globalSAN and start your trial. If you want to share your new iSCSI storage with multiple computers you will also need to use iSANmp or Xsan.
