Collier & Madge Selects Pensar Systems

Collier & Madge Plc, a firm of chartered
surveyors, has selected Pensar Systems Ltd to help it benefit from
managed IT services and business continuity platforms utilizing the cloud.

As a specialist in commercial property management acting on behalf
of property companies, institutional and private clients, Collier & Madge
prides itself on delivering a professional, efficient and quality
service. To make this happen, the firm needed reliable, quick and effective
IT systems.

After the failure of its legacy IT supplier to resolve longstanding
problems with its BlackBerry devices, senior management at Collier and Madge
decided it would be an opportunity to engage with a new IT services provider
with the goal of improving IT across its whole business. The aim was to improve
the reliability of IT including faster network speed and a more proactive
relationship from its IT supplier.

Following an evaluation of the environment and by working with Collier & Madge senior management, Pensar has helped the firm
virtualise much of its estate and transition to managed security, backup and
continuity services supporting staff across multiple locations.

One of the large projects involved moving the company email system
from an old server to a cloud based Hosted Exchange platform along with the
BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Pensar has also implemented Siris, a local site
with a cloud backup solution at Collier & Madge to reduce the potential for
any further downtime. Both projects were conducted over weekends to ensure zero
downtime or business disruption.
