This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 19, 2012 at 2:53 pmThe IT Press Tour, a media event launched in 2010 by Philippe Nicolas, announced the participation list for the next edition – the 8th – from 26 to 30th of March 2012.
12 new companies – Avere Systems, CTera Networks, Delphix, Druva, Engine Yard, NexGen Storage, Nicira, Nimbus Data Systems, RainStor, Sumo Logic, Tintri and Violin Memory – join the tour. Other ones are Cloudera, Pure Storage, Scality and SolidFire.
Since the 1st Edition in June 2010 included the next one, 60 companies* participated for a total of 78 sessions.
"We’re delighted to announce this participation with 16 famous companies, leading the new IT wave", said Céline Coustaut, co-owner of The IT Press Tour. "This next edition will be the first with merged France and Europe press groups, and we’ll continue future editions with that same model."
The IT Press Tour introduced a format and model with real results. For instance, SolidFire and Pure Storage who participate in November will join again in March, an illustration of the value the tour.
Jay Prassl, VP Marketing at SolidFire, confirms: "The European IT Press tour was excellent. Good format, good questions, and very interactive."
And Matt Kixmoeller, VP Products at Pure Storage, adds: "The ITPT was a great event for Pure Storage to get access to a broad spectrum of influential European press in a one-shot event."
The IT Press Tour produced 7 editions in 18 months and generated 1000+ media coverage for participating companies. 2012 marks a new milestone with the use of an European format.
Following the 8th edition in March, two new editions are scheduled: 9th in Boston from 25 to 29th of June and the 10th edition in Q4 back to Silicon Valley again.
