Aleratec 1:3 HDD Copy Dock Duplicator ($525)

Aleratec Inc. announced a portable tool for building and upgrading computer systems.

The 1:3 HDD Copy Dock Duplicator is a hard disk drive duplicator and HDD docking station that features PC connectivity via USB 3.0 or eSATA.

Users can copy from a single source hard drive to up to three target hard drives at one time.

As a docking station, the 1:3 HDD Copy Dock Duplicator can be connected to a PC with an USB 3.0 or included eSATA cable. This connection allows users access to the contents of up to four connected hard disk drives at a time. Users can add additional storage to an existing computer or just manage their drives.

Since it is standalone, there is no need to tie up a computer running duplication software. An LCD screen and simple controls make this duplicator easy to manage. It creates clones and backup drives, and the sector-by-sector copy process includes partition and boot sector information.

The docking bays can be controlled by individual power buttons and users can mount or dismount drives from the connect disk drive bays.

The 1:3 HDD Copy Dock Duplicator copies or docks 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard disk drives in any combination of the two sizes. Any combination of CF memory, CFast memory and 50mm mSATA drives can also be duplicated or docked using optional adapters, not included.

It supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, Mac OS10.3 or later, and Linux.

Available adapters that can be used with the 1:3 HDD Copy Dock Duplicator include the 50mm mSATA SSD to SATA adapter – Part 350118 – CFast to SATA adapter – Part 350120 – and Compact Flash (CF) Type I/II Memory Cards to SATA adapter – Part 350119.
