StorSimple’s support for Google Cloud Storage extends the capabilities of Google’s enterprise customer base, enabling organizations with VMware environments to utilize the Google cloud for data storage with integrated backup, archival and disaster recovery. StorSimple is an enterprise appliance that is VMware certified and was named a finalist for the Best of VMworld 2011.
Google Cloud Storage is a RESTful service for storing and accessing data on Google infrastructure. The service combines the performance and scalability of Google’s cloud with advanced security and sharing capabilities.

StorSimple enables enterprises to deepen their relationship with Google by using Google Cloud Storage for primary storage, live archiving, backup tape elimination and disaster recovery in a single appliance. The benefit to customers is a 60 to 80 percent reduction in the cost of storage.
