Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack for Workstations V6.3 from IBM Corp. is a real-time, continuous data protection offering, which means it can either back up your most important files the moment they are saved (real time) or perform the file backup on a more traditional schedule.

It can create multiple versions of your files on the local system for quick recoveries when no network connection is available and also send an additional copy of the protected data to a remote storage device for disaster recovery purposes.

In addition, it offers centralized management capabilities for Microsoft Windows laptops and desktops. It is designed to deliver continuous protection of critical files for laptops and desktops that are intermittently connected to a network, with minimal user intervention.

• A wizard to help simplify recoveries when a complete system rebuild is required
• Automatic expiration of deleted files from remote storage
• Increase to the include and exclude list capacity
• Simplified email backup configuration
