Iomega NAS With MindTree SecureMind Surveillance Manager Software

Iomega Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMC Corporation, announced that the MindTree Limited’ SecureMind Surveillance Manager software, for small to mid-level camera count installations, is available to the Iomega worldwide network of distributors and resellers.

Iomega’s channel partners can purchase SecureMind video management software directly from Iomega along with Iomega’s line of StorCenter network storage products to create a solution for the recording, management and access of surveillance video information. The combined Iomega+MindTree solution is targeted to standalone surveillance applications of 48 cameras (channels) or less in SMB and distributed enterprise environments.

The MindTree application is included at no additional charge with Iomega StorCenter network storage products as an application for one video surveillance camera. This enables users to set up a video surveillance environment and explore the feature set of the Iomega + MindTree combination. Users have the option to purchase licenses for additional camera channels to upgrade their installation up to the maximum capability of each of StorCenter network storage models.

For users interested in an all-in-one network storage surveillance product offering that includes both hardware and software, Iomega offers the StorCenter px4-300d Server Class Series with SecureMind Surveillance Manager, Integrated Video Management System (IVMS), which combines a desktop four-drive Iomega StorCenter px4-300d device, plus two 1TB server class drives and an eight-camera SecureMind license. This network storage surveillance SKU can be expanded with additional HDDs or licenses for additional camera channels.

StorCenter Network Storage Products
StorCenter products make it easy to archive, protect and share physical security video and audio files from anywhere (with an Internet connection). With up to 12TB of storage capacity, the rackmount StorCenter px4-300r Network Storage Array Server Class Series features four bays for use with HDDs or SSDs. The px4-300r comes in a space-saving 1U form factor ranging from diskless to fully populated with HDD and/or SSDs. The StorCenter px12-350r Network Storage Array Server Class Series utilizes 12 bays in a 2U form factor that ranges from partially populated with 4TB to fully populated with up to 36TB.  

Pricing and Availability
All Iomega StorCenter network storage products and SecureMind licenses are available. A one-camera MindTree SecureMind license is included with all StorCenter products. Upgrade licenses start at $69.99 for two camera channels and are also available in 4, 8, 16, 32, and 48 camera increments. The new IVMS Iomega Desktop Surveillance SKU, which includes one StorCenter px4-300d network storage, two 1TB Server Class hard disk drives and a SecureMind license for 8 camera channels, is priced at $1,199.99.
