Manfred Reitner EMEA Senior VP and GM EMEA, NetApp

He succeeds Andreas König leaving the company.

NetApp, Inc. announced the appointment of Manfred Reitner as senior vice president and general manager for NetApp EMEA effective immediately.

manfred_reitner_netapp In his new role, Reitner will be responsible for all NetApp EMEA geographies and operations that will be key in driving NetApp’s growth strategy in EMEA, as well as partner and customer momentum. Reitner succeeds Andreas König who held the position since 2007 and will leave the company at the end of June 2012.

Prior to his new position, Manfred Reitner was vice president, Enterprise Area, NetApp since 2009 where he was responsible for driving sales teams and business progress in France, Germany, and the UK. Reitner, who holds a degree in computer sciences from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, started his sales career at NetApp in 1997. Following his responsibility for NetApp’s sales efforts in Central Europe, he primarily focused on the German market from 2003 onwards. Before joining NetApp, he had various sales positions at Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, Maxtor, and SGI.
