New StorageCraft Software from Watchdog

StorageCraft UK has announced the availability of a new centralised monitoring and backup verification software that offers instant error notification and automated recoverability testing to assure backup data is safe and recoverable, adding an extra layer of certainty to StorageCraft’s already bullet-proof disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

This solution from Watchdog Software, Inc. reduces administrator’s workload by monitoring both Windows and ShadowProtect log files. The central monitoring console reports any problems via a traffic light style alert system that changes colour to red or yellow depending upon the urgency of an alert, giving administrators the ability to react instantly.

In addition to real-time monitoring, Watchdog also offers daily automated recovery testing (DART) technology that performs a test every night on all an organisation’s servers being protected with ShadowProtect including physical, virtual and cloud based servers.
