In this strategic role, Drossel will also align the product roadmap to the market-driven needs of Virtium’s customers.

Drossel brings knowledge and leadership abilities based on his 22 years of product management, engineering and marketing experience in the embedded computing industry. "I am thrilled to join Virtium at such an exciting time of transition in the embedded market," said Drossel. "Today’s embedded systems designs are moving toward higher speed memory and away from traditional hard drive and CompactFlash storage. My expertise and partner relationships will help Virtium accelerate its DDR memory, USB, SD, PCIe and SATA SSD solutions to specifically meet multi-year deployment and usage model requirements unique to networking, industrial, medical and military applications."

"We are singularly focused on enabling our customers with the right SSD and memory technologies that match their diverse applications," said Phu Hoang, Virtium CEO. "Our customers will benefit from Gary’s insight and experience. His demonstrated leadership is a valuable addition to Virtium management team."
