Online File Sharing Company FileSonic Restricts Services

"All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally", wrote FileSonic on the first page of its Web site.

The company, having offices in Hong Kong and UK, was offering file sharing.

This decision follows the Megaupload shutdown and arrests last week.

In December, FileSonic partnered with Vobile, provider of content identification services.
