He was appointed to the position in November 2011.

My role, together with the strong F-Secure team, is to drive future growth for the company," said Fredrikson.
Fredrikson was previously with Nokia Siemens Networks, where he was responsible for global sales for the Network Systems business unit.
He has also been head of the Asia Pacific Region and head of OBS Business Unit (Operation and Business Software). Fredrikson joined Nokia in 1994 where he held several executive positions in various locations, including R&D and sales.
"There is a growing need for the protection and storage of people’s digital content across devices. At F-Secure, our passion is to provide innovative solutions in this environment of security, user generated content and multiple devices," Fredrikson added.
Fredrikson, 47, is a Finnish citizen and holds a master’s degree in engineering from Abo Akademi University in Turku, Finland
