Promise Thunderbolt Pegasus RAID With SSDs

Pegasus is a Thunderbolt enabled hardware RAID storage solution providing fast performance, in 4-bay or 6-bay direct attached storage configurations leveraging Intel’s Thunderbolt Technology. This storage solution demonstration supports creative professionals using either Mac OS or Windows based applications.
The Windows driver for the Pegasus series will be available in Q2 2012.
The PROMISE Pegasus R4 RAID storage solution was demoed in the Intel booth at the Consumer Electronics Show, January 10-13, Las Vegas Nevada.
Designed for the creative communities, the PROMISE Pegasus series offers speed and throughput in a form factor small enough for a desktop or on-location environment. The addition of the SSD option will provide media and entertainment professionals a new level of productivity and flexibility, allowing them to reduce post-production time for a majority of tasks.
Pegasus R4 with the option of the Intel SSD 320 Series creates faster processing speeds for media and entertainment professionals. They now have major studio edit-suite performance in an on-location field production form factor. Built with 25nm Intel NAND Flash Memory, the Intel SSD 320 Series accelerates performance.
