OCZ Indilinx Everest Platform in LG Z330 Ultrabooks

Indilinx, provider of SSD processors and a subsidiary of OCZ Technology Group, Inc., announces OCZ Indilinx SSDs based on the Everest Series SATA 3.0 (6Gbps) platform are shipping in LG Electronics‘ thinnest notebook yet, the Super Ultrabook Z300 based on the Intel Ultrabook initiative.

LG will begin shipping its Z330 Series with the custom designed ultra-slim Everest-based mSATA SSD in 256GB capacities as standard equipment, providing an instant-on experience as well as a faster, more energy-efficient storage option than mechanical HDDs. The custom developed Everest solution is 25 percent slimmer than traditional 9.5mm 2.5-inch laptop hard drives and SSDs, enabling the new breed of LG premium Z330 Ultrabooks to support lower height dimensions without sacrificing storage capacity, speed, or reliability.
