Bocada Offers Live Test Drive of Vision Software

Bocada Inc. is offering a hands-on test drive of its Vision software to allow potential customers the opportunity to experience for themselves how they can better manage the data protection operations of virtual environments from a single pane of glass.

The demonstration in a live environment allows customers the opportunity to use and interact with the Vision software technology to get a deeper understanding of the benefits of monitoring backup and recovery operations within virtualized environments. Test users will be able to monitor backup methods, performance, success and failures, problem and resource management, virtual environment recovery, configurations and storage utilization reports and errors to see how Vision helps minimize the complexity that virtualization adds to backup and recovery operations.

When customers typically do evaluations, they only have a small test environment or a few test servers available to them, so they may not be able to test all features of the products they are evaluating. In addition, small test environments may shield the customer from potential scale or administrative issues that may become evident in a production environment. The Vision Test Drive is run on a full-scale database with input from an array of backup applications, which will give the customer a true taste of functionality in a production environment.

Vision is available as a standalone module within Bocada Prism, a service management application that was purpose built to help organizations move through the DPSM model, a multi-phase set of best practices to ensure cost-effective delivery of data protection services to customers.
