Panzura Joins OpenStack Community

Panzura, provider of file storage optimization solutions, as part of an expansion in its cloud ecosystem recently announced, broadened its ecosystem by offering support for OpenStack Object Storage (Swift), an increasing choice for public, private, and community clouds.

Panzura also has joined the OpenStack community, a global community consisting of developers, corporations, service providers, researchers, and users shaping the development of the open source cloud operating system.

OpenStack Object Storage is deployed by a number of cloud storage providers, including HP. HP Cloud Services private beta customers will have access to Panzura’s global file storage solution by using the new Panzura cloud connector for OpenStack (Swift). The addition of this new cloud connector expands the ecosystem of cloud providers available to Panzura customers.

The expansion of the Panzura ecosystem broadens the community of enterprises that can deploy Panzura File System Controllers, which fit into customers’ existing data centers and edge infrastructure and manage all aspects of data security, snapshot-based restore points, access control, and performance across the network. With Panzura, customers see a common file system with read/write capabilities across all sites, allowing data to be consolidated for simplified management yet remain accessible by users in any location to facilitate collaborative projects and workflows.
