This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 26, 2011 at 2:52 pmBased in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Safeberg BV, the secure online backup services provider launched a range of remote backup services that offer no compromise on security while providing the required storage for data.
Making data out of reach for even the most persistent of the hackers, the services offered incorporate multiple levels of security for a range of professions and for all types of data. Safeberg aims to be recognized as a reliable storage services provider by offering secure yet affordable services.
Says Safeberg, "Our technology is constantly evolving to ensure Internet backup services we provide combine the latest security measures with reliable backup and efficient retrieval." He adds that the paper key encryption, which the firm emphasizes on, has thus far proven to be the most efficient way to keep data secure.
Safeberg provides a paper key which needs to be used with a password for accessing data.
Safeberg uses a data matrix paper key for encrypted data, sent to the user over a secure network. The data encryption is done using 128 RSA, a complicated data encryption technique which requires a private key to decrypt. With the password combination required to access data, the paper key and thus data is out of reach for hackers. The key can also be read through a scan or through a photograph, or through a mobile phone. Features like auto backup, incremental storage, in addition to convenient retrieval, can prove very useful for businesses of all size. All forms of data can be stored online on Safeberg’s services, through remote backup services.
The services fall in two categories. The first category of services is aimed at individual users (2GB for free, €649 per year for 800GB), while the second category, called Safeberg Professional (up to 90GB for €293 per year), is aimed at firms looking for large storage space for backing up massive databases. Trial packs are available for individuals and businesses to test the backup solution before subscribing to its services.
