The Year of Attix5

Backuping 65% of UK primary schools

Following
over a decade of protecting, restoring and backing up valuable
information in both the public and private sectors via the cloud, Attix5 UK Ltd launches to the UK media with a nationwide press tour and declares that 2012
will be the year of the data specialist.

Data management is now crucial to the running of a
business in any industry. Attix5, the public and private sector’s best kept
data management secret, says data specialists are finally stepping out from
behind the curtain to share expertise and discuss the issues most pertinent to
data security.

Attix5 is an
international provider of secure data management, storage and restoration,
specialising in virtualization and cloud-based solutions. As a longstanding
partner of Capita SIMS (Schools Information Management Solutions), its solution
is used nationwide by 65% of UK primary schools. Attix5 is also an elite
Technology Alliance Partner of VMware.

Michael Law,
CEO at Attix5, says: "Corporate
governance is now a real buzz term within the boardroom of any modern
organisation. As is the case with many software service providers, Attix5 has
been operating as a ‘silent’ but essential partner to some of the UK’s largest
establishments. With more and more organisations becoming accustomed to cloud
based or virtual data management solutions, we believe that the time is now
right for us to fully engage with the press. Suppliers like Attix5 can provide
an expert viewpoint on matters that affect all involved in the data storage and
transaction value chain.
"

Attix5 has also recently secured a partnership with the London
Grid for Learning
(LGfL). The partnership means all 33 London school
authorities are now protected by an automated information backup and
restoration system. This equates to a total of 1.2m pupils across 3000+
locations, incorporating thousands of teaching resources.

Set up in
South Africa in 1999, Attix5 is officially headquartered in the UK, a position
cemented by the relocation of the company’s Technical Director to assist
operations. The relocation comes at a time of the importance of good data
management is and with a 12-year heritage of developing data protection software.
