Bernal has a long history of participation and investment in enterprise infrastructure and software companies. He serves on the boards of Boulder Wind Power, Drobo, Firefly Green Technologies, and Leyden Energy, and works closely with HelioVolt, Nicira and Blue Jeans Network. Previous board memberships include Data Domain (acquired by EMC), HelioVolt, LifeSize (acquired by Logitech), Indicative (acquired by Nimsoft), ProStor and Redseal Systems.
Prior to SolidFire, Cahill was the founder of Diligence Technology Advisors, a strategy consulting practice focused on emerging enterprise technologies. Starting his career at EMC, he was an early member of the Centera business unit. After EMC, Cahill spent six years on Wall Street in analyst and investor capacities. While at RBC Capital Markets, he was a contributor on one of Wall Street’s top equity research teams in storage.
SolidFire continues to attract top talent from across the country, and these executive additions come on the heels of another announcement made last month when Mark Glasgow joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales.
The same month, SolidFire announced $25 million in Series B funding.
