EastWebMonitor and MailArchiver
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 20, 2011 at 2:48 pmComGuard FZ LLC, a Dubai-based value added distributor for IT
security products and solutions in the Middle East and North Africa region
announced the launch of GFI WebMonitor and GFI MailArchiver from GFI Software in the Middle East region.
GFI
WebMonitor is a web monitoring, web filtering and web security tool that
helps to boost employee productivity by giving administrators the ability to
monitor and control employee Internet access in real-time. This ensures that
employee web browsing activity is aligned with business needs and that
files downloaded are free of viruses and other malware.
The new version adds enhancements, including one enabling administrators to define policies
based on time spent browsing specific types of sites (e.g. – limit to one hour
per week on news/sports per user) or bandwidth consumed (limiting each user to
100Mb of YouTube downloads per week).
It also
features enhanced proxy caching for improved performance and reduced bandwidth
consumption, HTTPS scanning for enhanced filtering and control, improved
interactive access and blocked activity monitoring reports – including
drill-down capabilities.
Mohammad
Mobasseri, Sr. Vice President, ComGuard FZ LLC, said: "GFI WebMonitor and GFI MailArchiver are the best in class
products to be available in the region. With ever increasing number of emails
there is a strong demand for GFI MailArchiver, while on other hand GFI
WebMonitor provides excellent solution for web monitoring and security which is
imperative to the business these days."
GFI
MailArchiver is the single solution source for email management problems on
Exchange Server. With more than 10,000 customers, it helps administrators
maintain an archive of all corporate email correspondence, reduce
the demands on the Exchange server, manage and reduce the company’s dependence
on PST files and also meet a number of regulations on compliance,
eDiscovery and other legislation.
"MailArchiver solves the storage problem that
is exacerbated by Exchange 2010, and makes email backup and restore a snap – as
simple as dragging and dropping an email in Outlook. With organizations
upgrading from Exchange 2003 / 2007 to Exchange 2010 they will enjoy the new
features of Exchange but they will miss Single Instance Storage which means
that their storage costs will increase considerably. With MailArchiver 2010,
users will put SIS back into Exchange thus reducing the need for expensive
storage and also solving their PST management problems at the same time,"
said Brian Azzopardi, product manager, GFI Software.
MailArchiver
is easy to install, requires little administrative effort. The new version of GFI MailArchiver offers several new
capabilities that promote ease of use and take the burden off of
administrators, including a web interface that transforms email backup and
restore into a self-service activity.
Commenting
on the launch of GFI WebMonitor and GFI MailArchiver, John Spoor, Channel
Manager for Middle East and Africa, GFI Software, said: "These two award winning products enables
businesses to work more efficiently and increase productivity. And, on other
hand both these new products offer a excellent platform for IT resellers to tap
into the fast growing market of web monitoring and email archiving in the
region."
