Turkish Dogus Yayin Grubu Chooses Integrator Ametis Teknoloji

Ametis Bilji Teknoloji A.S., a storage, backup and archive integrator, announced that Dogus Yayin Grubu, one of Turkey’s largest companies in the media and entertainment industry, has selected its products as part of a new data protection solution.

Dogus Yayin Grubu selected a Spectra Logic Corp.’s T950 enterprise tape library for a HSM application together with cache storage in front of the tape library. The Spectra T950 tape library was chosen due to its performance, scalability, power efficiency, and floor space savings.

Dogus Yayin Grubu deployed an Active Archive by applying a file system that expands over its disk and tape library technologies. The Active Archive provides TV channel customers with a view of the data in their archives to identify and access the data whenever needed. The diagram below illustrates how the Spectra T950 tape library can be implemented within an Active Archive environment as part of a sound data protection strategy. Dogus Yayin Grubu implemented Spectra Logic’s T950 tape library together with Data Direct Networks SFA10000 Enterprise Class Extreme Storage all under the hood of Hitachi BlueArc Titan 3210 NAS Heads.
