Continental Technologies Partners With Asigra
For hybrid cloud backup and recovery service
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 15, 2011 at 2:59 pmContinental Technologies, Inc. (CTI), provider of business continuity and network infrastructure in the Mid-Atlantic, has been chosen to partner with Asigra, Inc.
This collaboration enables CTI to streamline their client’s backup process with LifeLINE powered by Asigra, a fully automated, encrypted, and secure online backup service replacing manual tape backups.
LifeLINE provides increased security and compliance over previous backup methods. All data is encrypted in flight and at rest. Local backup within the client’s network is coupled with public cloud for secure offsite backup allowing quick availability and recovery. This hybrid system is essential to protect against all types of data disasters, including natural occurrences like earthquakes, floods and hurricanes.
CTI clients enjoy cost savings through the removal of time constraints, licensing fees, and labor intensive processes that are normally associated with tape backup solutions. LifeLINES’s single point of backup administration means no agents are required, and clients pay for the amount of data they need stored, ranging in size from 100GB to 100TB.
Existing clients, like Maryvale Preparatory School, were quick to make the conversion.
According to Brian Czarski, IT Coordinator for Maryvale, "LifeLINE has taken the guesswork and anxiety out of backups. It is always there and always ready. No need for countless, expensive tapes, bulky drives or messy, complicated restore software."
"With so much at stake now regarding data protection and reliability, we feel this will enhance our capabilities in ensuring state-of-the-art data security measures for our clients," states Dave Wade, COO.
