Infortrend Embraces SSDs From Hitachi, Intel, Stec

Due to its high performance and ability to withstand system shocks and vibrations, solid state storage is on the rise. As prices have gradually come down to more acceptable levels, SSDs are becoming increasingly popular in the data storage market.

On ESVA, Infortrend’s mid-range storage solution, SSDs can be integrated in that solution’s automated storage tiering architecture. With SSDs deployed in the highest storage tier, storage performance can be increased by up to 150 percent when compared to a non-tiered configuration at no additional costs.

EonStor DS is an entry-level storage solution aimed at SMBs, offering reliable data storage with a set of data protection features. EonNAS offers unified storage solutions that help SMBs and mid-range enterprises simultaneously serve file-based and block-based applications.

Infortrend currently supports SSDs from industry-leading vendors including Intel, STEC and Hitachi, which are available in a variety of capacities.
