Bobby Patrick Chief Marketing Officer, Basho

Basho Technologies, Inc., in Web and cloud database technology for big data, announced that Robert (Bobby) Patrick, an experienced technology executive, has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer.

bobby_patrick_basho Patrick was previously CMO for GXS, where he inspired and led the development of GXS Trading Grid, a large data integration cloud. He joins Basho following the recent appointment of Donald J. Rippert, former Chief Technology Officer at Accenture, to president and CEO of Basho.

In joining Basho, Patrick will lead Basho's business operations, focusing on expanding its market presence, overseeing product strategy, and scaling worldwide distribution channels.

Before GXS, Patrick was CMO at Digex, acquired by Verizon, where he pioneered the managed hosting concept. At both companies, he shaped the creation and development of growing markets, garnering market leadership positions for both companies, including earning categorical positions by major industry analyst firms. Earlier, Bobby worked for Accenture and the FBI.

He holds a BS in Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences from George Mason University.
