Ingram Micro Offers HP 3Par Certification at no Cost
To help channel partners
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 5, 2011 at 3:22 pmIngram Micro Inc. announced the distributor’s Buffalo Solution Center is hosting demonstrations of the new HP 3PAR F200 Storage System.
The hands-on and virtual display solution was introduced to help channel partners capitalize on growing storage market that supports enterprise public and private cloud computing solutions.
To accelerate sales, Ingram Micro also announced that for a limited time the distributor’s HP Enterprise Storage channel partners in the U.S. are also eligible to receive HP Enterprise Authentication training and certification at no cost.
In addition, Ingram Micro and HP will help qualifying resellers cover the expense of bringing customers and prospects into the Buffalo Solution Center for a demonstration of the business and technical advantages of HP 3PAR Utility Storage. Both complimentary offers are available through the end of January 2012.
"Demand for high-end storage – particularly across datacenter, virtualization and cloud environments — is climbing at a strong pace and requiring more advanced solutions that can operate seamlessly as part of the physical and virtual network infrastructure," says Scott Zahl, vice president and general manager, Advanced Computing Division, Ingram Micro U.S. "The addition of the new HP 3PAR Storage System within our Buffalo Solution Center combined with the free HP 3PAR certification training and business development assistance is a strong testimony to the investments we’re making within our Advanced Computing Division and VAR sales organization to give channel partners what they need to succeed across the board."
Ingram Micro became one of the first distributors to offer HP 3PAR Storage Systems to the IT channel last year. HP acquired 3PAR, provider of utility storage, in September 2010. Under the U.S. distribution relationship, certified HP channel partners can source HP 3PAR V-Class, T-Class and F-Class Storage Systems as well as HP 3PAR Peer Motion, Adaptive Optimization and Thin Provisioning Software products from Ingram Micro.
"The need for enterprise-class storage for virtualized and cloud environments is growing at a rapid pace, and not surprisingly, so is the education needed to take advantage of it," said Chris Riley, vice president, Americas, Storage, HP. "Together with Ingram Micro’s Advanced Computing Division resources, we’re offering training and certification at no cost that will enable resellers to easily as well as cost-effectively expand their storage businesses with HP 3PAR Utility Storage."
Certification, education, sales enablement and training on and around HP 3PAR Storage Systems are available to channel partners as part of Ingram Micro’s dedicated HP Business Unit and Advanced Computing Division.
