RAID Inc. Selects Smart Storage Systems XceedIOPS SAS 2.5-Inch SSDs

RAID Inc. has selected SMART Storage Systems‘ XceedIOPS SAS 2.5" SSDs for use in its 2U 24-Bay EBOD, its storage solution designed
for mid-level, enterprise-class storage applications.

The EBOD, equipped with
eight XceedIOPS SAS 2.5" 200GB SSDs, was on display and demonstrated
in RAID’s booth at SC11 on November 14-17 in Seattle, WA.

The RAID 2U
24-Bay EBOD is designed to be an enterprise JBOD using the 6G SAS architecture. Engineered to be flexible and scalable, the RAID
EBOD enables SAS/SATAHDD and SSD connections using standard SCSI
protocol. It offers performance, energy efficiency, and 24×7
high-availability redundancy of key components.

Designed
with performance, endurance and reliability in mind, the XceedIOPS SAS SSDs
incorporate E-MLC NAND flash technology.
SMART’s XceedIOPS SAS SSDs provide a five-year minimum operational life, even
in workload-intensive and high-performance computing environments. Featuring
sequential read/write performance of 250/230 MB/s and random read/write
performance of 26K/20K IOPS, the XceedIOPS SAS SSD is available in capacities
ranging from 100 to 400GB. Additional reliability features built into the
XceedIOPS SSDs are a high reliability backup power circuitry, power fail
recovery, thermal monitoring and error-correction capabilities.
