Panasas Expands Global Partner Program
To meet demand for parallel storage applications
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 24, 2011 at 2:53 pmPanasas, Inc. has expanded
its Partner Program to meet increased demand for parallel storage applications
in both HPC and mainstream design and discovery
environments.
The expanded program includes a revamped, tiered Partner Program,
interactive partner portal for increased access to sales resources, technical
training, enhanced margin model, and more.
"Panasas has seen a surge in demand for
parallel storage in more mainstream enterprise markets, so we’ve overhauled our
entire partner program to meet the need," said Bill Ribera, vice
president of worldwide sales at Panasas. "It’s a new approach for Panasas, as we have historically worked with a
more limited group of HPC specialists. With this new program, we hope to
attract a broader range of channel partners, while strengthening our
relationships with current partners that continue to substantially drive and
grow our business."
The Panasas
Partner Program will help partners become an extension of the Panasas sales
organization by arming them with tools and training. It
offers benefits including access to sales, marketing and
technical staff, as well as demo and lab equipment. A wealth of training
opportunities and certifications are also available. A Partner Portal
that features online deal registration, and essential selling tools will
support the program.
Panasas
partners have access to a line of performing
storage appliances. Based on storage blade architecture and the Panasas
PanFS parallel file system, Panasas ActiveStor appliances deliver
performance at scale in addition to delivering the manageability, reliability,
and value required by demanding technical computing organizations in the enterprise,
research and product development sectors.
"Our opportunity is expanding based on the
unrelenting demand for high performance storage, driven by the emergence of big
data in all segments of the market," said Faye Pairman, president and
chief executive officer for Panasas. "As
more companies turn to data-intensive applications to drive their value, they
realize that traditional enterprise storage technologies do not deliver the
performance they now require to remain competitive in their markets. Our channel
partners are an essential part of the ecosystem to help bring new Panasas HPC
storage technologies to the broader marketplace."
Panasas was
demonstrating its partner portal at Supercomputing 2011 (SC11).
