Cleversafe Granted Four Patents By USPTO

Now approaching 150 published pending U.S. patent applications

Cleversafe Inc. announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted and issued four new patents to the company, further solidifying Cleversafe’s IP portfolio around its Dispersed Storage technology.

Cleversafe continues to be one of the most patenting U.S. companies per employee with nine issued patents presently and approaching 150 published utility patents pending.

Cleversafe’s newly issued U.S. patents are:

  • U.S. patent number 7,953,937, issued May 31, 2011, and entitled, Systems, Methods, and Apparatus for Subdividing Data for Storage in a Dispersed Data Storage Grid
  • U.S. patent number 7,953,771, issued May 31, 2011, and entitled, Virtualized Storage Vaults on a Dispersed Data Storage Network
  • U.S. patent number 7,962,641, issued June 14, 2011, and entitled, Streaming Media Software Interface to a Dispersed Data Storage Network
  • U.S. patent number 8,019,960 issued September 13, 2011 and entitled, Metadata Management System for an Information Dispersed Storage System
