Cofio Releases Free Version of Backup Software AIMstor for SMBs

Cofio Software, Inc. introduces AIMstor Small Business Server (SBS).

This subscription based, free version of AIMstor has many features that most small organization need but can’t afford or manage with typical legacy backup strategies. This is not a feature limited free release, but a full featured version of AIMstor.

The design and purpose of AIMstor was to commoditize and unify high end features in data protection.

The small business has many of the same needs of large enterprises, but rarely the budget, IT expertise and resources to implement the solution to fill these needs. AIMstor SBS fills this need with an easy to deploy / use application that doesn’t need daily management oversight to accomplish RPO.

With the release of AIMstor SBS, end users can use this license, at no cost, with 2 servers / 3 workstations with up to a deduplicated 1 TB disk repository.

Support is conducted through an actively managed forum site. Upgrades on a function and feature basis will be added on a subscription basis and as needed to include VMware vSphere support, SQL and Exchange Application Consistent Backup Agents, Live Server Replication, increased repository capacity, Information Security.

The target audiences for this release are the small business, IT-outsourcing groups, non-profits, and home users.
