Steve Querner SVP Sales and Marketing, StorSimple

Previously at IBM, XIV, Onstor, EMC and Cisco

StorSimple, Inc. announced that Steve Querner joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing.

The appointment follows the company’s growth in vertical markets for mid-size and Fortune 100 companies.

steve_querner_storsimple Querner, an industry veteran with over twenty five years of enterprise storage sales experience with IBM and EMC among others, will direct the sales and marketing team as it continues to establish and maintain positive customer relationships with enterprise organizations.

StorSimple has transformed from a gateway cloud appliance vendor to a provider of cloud integrated enterprise storage, capable of primary, backup, archival and disaster recovery. The ability to achieve the benefit of the cloud while maintaining control of performance and security is in high demand among enterprises. The demand for enterprise availability, scalability and cost efficiency among organizations facing stringent regulations or with multiple remote sites has resulted in customer growth.

Steve is well known in the industry for establishing strong customer relationships, and we expect that he will be a valuable asset to our sales and marketing team."

Querner most recently served as North American Storage Sales Leader at IBM. Querner joined IBM through its acquisition of XIV in 2007 and led the sales team of the fastest growing segment within the IBM storage division. Prior to IBM, Querner was vice president, worldwide sales at Onstor, Inc., a venture backed NAS start-up, where he was responsible for managing worldwide sales organization. Steve joined EMC in 1994 as an account executive and held a variety of leadership roles. When he left EMC in 2002, he was the Vice President, Sales for Asia Pacific. Steve also held prominent positions at Cisco Systems & Stratus Computers.

Steve has a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration, Texas A& M University.
