Data Storage Corp. Achieves SAS 70 Type II Compliance

Data Storage Corp., a provider of data protection and business continuity solutions, announced that as part of its continued efforts to enhance its data centers it has completed its SAS 70 (Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70: Service Organizations) Type II audit, most recently for its Westbury, New York data center.

Completing this audit for its multiple data centers verifies that DSC has the proper internal controls and processes in place to ensure the integrity of its data protection and recovery services to its clients.

A-lign CPAs, LLC, a risk advisory firm specializing in regulatory or customer compliance services, conducted the audit. As an independent third party, A-lign CPAs conducted onsite and offsite tests to assure that the control activities at its data centers meet regulatory control requirements. SAS 70 Type II is an auditing statement issue by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
